How to Set Up Automatic Email Notifications
Add an Autoresponder
After publishing, go to Automate > Auto Responder > Add Autoresponder to set up a custom email notification.
Customize the Email
Use AI to create a personalized subject and body that automatically pulls form data. Add files and choose the right email field.
Connect SMTP & Activate
Link your Gmail or other email via OAuth. Click Save to activate. Formester will now send emails on every form submission.

Advanced Options
Attach a Submission Copy
If you want to send respondents a copy of their form submission along with the autoresponse email, follow these steps:
Go to the Advanced section in the autoresponder settings.
Toggle on Send the submitter a copy of their submission.
Once enabled, Formester will attach a detailed copy of their submitted responses to the email.
This feature is useful for confirmations, receipts, or keeping respondents informed about their entries.
Add a Time Delay
Want to delay the autoresponse instead of sending it immediately?
Navigate to the Advanced section and locate the Delay Time option.
Set a delay ranging from a few minutes to several days.
This is perfect for:
Sending reminders after a certain period.
Avoiding immediate follow-ups for better engagement.
Scheduling responses at the right time.
For example, if a respondent fills out a feedback form, you can delay the email by 24 hours to ensure they receive it at an optimal time.
Set Conditional Rules for Autoresponse
Want to trigger emails only when certain conditions are met?
Use the Rules option to define conditions based on the respondent’s input.
The email will only be sent if the responses meet your set criteria.
Examples:
Send a different confirmation email based on the respondent’s selected service.
Only send follow-up emails if the respondent chooses Interested in a demo.
Trigger personalized emails based on survey responses.
