Privacy and data ownership
Your submissions are your data. Not ours, not our vendors\'.
When you upload a PDF, paste a prompt, or generate a form, that content is used to generate your form and nothing else. Per Section 4.4 of our DPA, Formester does not use Customer Data for analytics, advertising, marketing, or product training. The Google Gemini integration we use to power AI features inherits the same boundary.
Encrypted in transit and at rest, hosted on Heroku and AWS, automated encrypted backups with a 90-day retention, and full data deletion on request. We are GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA compliant. We are not SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certified yet, and we will tell you so directly rather than dance around it.

Frequently asked questions
Is the contact form generator really free?
Yes. Unlimited forms and unlimited responses on the free plan. No trial that expires, no card required at signup, no cap on how many forms you build.
Can I embed the form on WordPress, Webflow, or Framer?
Yes, on all three. Copy the embed code from the publish menu and paste it into a Custom HTML block (WordPress), Embed element (Webflow), or Embed element (Framer). The form loads inline and stays responsive.
Where do submissions go by default?
To the email address associated with your Formester account, unless you route them elsewhere. You can add Google Sheets, Slack, or any CRM integration in one click.
Can I stop spam without adding reCAPTCHA?
Yes. Honeypot field, rate limiting, keyword blocklist, and country blocking are all on by default and require no configuration. reCAPTCHA v3 is an optional add-on for very high-volume forms.
Can the form auto-respond to the person who submitted?
Yes. Turn on Autoresponder Email in the notifications tab. The submitter receives a customizable confirmation email the moment they submit, and you can attach a PDF of their responses.
Does the form work on mobile?
Yes. Every form is responsive by default. Fields stack, buttons resize, and the layout stays legible from 360px up.
Can I collect payments through the same form?
Yes. Add a Stripe, PayPal, or Razorpay field for one-time or recurring payments. Payment collection ships on the free plan.
Can I export the responses to CSV?
Yes. Export any form's responses to CSV, XLSX, or PDF from the dashboard, or connect Google Sheets for real-time sync.
Is my data secure?
Every submission is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Formester is GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA compliant. HIPAA compliance is on the roadmap but not shipped in 2026.
